What is a classic?

There is no true right or wrong to restore a car. For many a restoration means making a car as original to the day it rolled off the assembly line. For others, it might mean upgrading the engine or a custom interior or pint color that was never created at the factory. The end goal is to retain the overall character of the car and give it many more years of life.

The classic car is made to be driven, it will hate sitting in a dusty garage. The engine needs to run, the oil to circulate, the parts need to move. A car will always grow older even if no one drives it. Generally, it is easier to drive a cars every so often and keep it going, rather than to spend a lot of time fixing it up because it sat for many years.

A continuation into the future.

New cars are always designed to be better and faster than previous generations.There is no limit to what designs will come in the future. The only guarantee is that they will be rather complex computer controlled machines.

The Subaru 360 could be considered one of the least complex cars to work on. All of the components are designed from an era without computer engine control and all functions based on time tested mechanical means.
